1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not store official records, perform an official check, retrieve a file, or submit paperwork for a visitor.

Its role is limited to identifying Clark County record custodians, including the sheriff and Circuit Clerk, plus the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside tools that may assist personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only when it is lawful and does not interfere with the service or harm another person. A visitor must not:

• Use the site in violation of federal, Missouri, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
• Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
• Send bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools through the pages
• Disrupt performance or prevent others from gaining normal access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use site content or linked information to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against a person. Such conduct can also violate criminal law. Missouri Sex Offender Registry information warrants special care because Missouri law prohibits misuse and the registry warns against harassment or vigilantism. Registry data serves public safety and community awareness. It cannot lawfully support retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Clark County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no credit report, consumer report, or official background check. Its content and partner tools are not offered for evaluating applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. Site data and linked results may not be used to:

• Make a hiring or firing decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing application
• Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
• Carry out any other purpose governed by the FCRA

A check for a regulated purpose must come through an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and any official Missouri channel the governing law requires.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Clark County records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can assess how a charge, judgment, warrant, or expungement rule affects a particular set of facts.

6. No Warranties

All content and features are supplied "as is" and without a guarantee that:

• Information will always be current, complete, or accurate
• Partner results will be accurate or comprehensive
• Pages will contain no bug, error, or security weakness
• Access will remain uninterrupted

Charges, dispositions, closures, and expungements can change what an official file shows. Gaps and delays are possible. Site content is never an official statement from the Clark County sheriff, a court, MSHP, or any public agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a sheriff, court, Missouri agency, legal resource, or outside search service. The destination controls its own availability, content, fees, terms, and data practices. Review those terms before using the external service.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Clark County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, modify, distribute, or build upon protected site material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for damage arising from its use, including reliance on site content or an outside service reached through a link.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, or actions caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Missouri. The Missouri Sunshine Law and RSMo §43.506 govern public-body access and criminal-history dissemination in their own spheres; they do not make this private site a government custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted at any time and take effect when they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only as far as needed for enforcement.
